Lately I’ve been really feeling my femme side. Think flower print, big earrings, low necklines, lace, and feeling unhappy with my strap-on harnesses.
I love the harnesses I had, but I’ve always itched for something femme. I’ve lusted after companies like Velvet Nest while cringing at the company’s actual practices.
Then comes Bella by SpartParts.
A cursory glance at this harness shows us lace, removable garters, a bow, and a cut-out on the bum to show a hint of butt-cleav. Then there’s also the carrying case that comes with it that is a perfect match and I think is actually a clutch. I can’t stand carrying clutches but holy crap yes I do want to match my purse to my strap-on harness! Be still my femme heart!
It is cute as fuck. Seriously.
The o-ring is not interchangeable, which means girthier toys won’t work fit, but thin-to-average ones fit perfectly. The o-ring also sits a little lower on my crotch than I’m used to which means that when I pair this harness with dildos such as the Fuze Alpha, the base rubs against my body in a much more pleasurable way.
Personally, I love the control of the Bella. Since it’s underwear style, there are no straps to fiddle with. You put these in place and they stay there, giving you good control over the dildo and the ability to switch between positions without having to readjust. The material is thicker than normal (think Spanx or a bathing suit) which took me a little bit to get used to but it is very comfortable and the thickness makes me less anxious that strenuous activity will cause the lace to rip.
A note on sizing: this harness fits tight. Due to the thickness of the material, it does not stretch easily. What this means in practice is that you should REALLY pay attention to the sizing chart SpareParts uses to make sure you get the right size. I’ve also found that it’s easiest to put the dildo in the harness before you put the harness on your body and to not try to put the harness on when you’re fresh out of the shower and still a bit wet.
On the inside of the harness there are two flaps of fabric that keep the base of the dildo from rubbing against your skin.
I love that the four garters are removable. The ones I got were too long for my personal preference, but you can always get shorter garters.
